Motorcycle OBD2 Adapter Cables

Most motorcycles use a brand-specific diagnostic plug instead of the 16-pin OBD2 socket found in cars. These adapter cables convert your bike's plug to standard OBD2 so you can connect a motorcycle scan tool.

Finding the Right Adapter for Your Bike

Find your bike's diagnostic plug and count the pins. Most motorcycles built from around 2020 use the shared Euro5 6-pin plug, so one Euro5 motorcycle cable covers many brands. Older bikes use brand-specific plugs, such as Yamaha's 3-pin or 4-pin, Honda's 4-pin, Kawasaki's 4-pin or 6-pin, and BMW's round 10-pin. Kawasaki's older 6-pin plug is not the same as the Euro5 6-pin, so check before ordering.

Not sure? Contact our team with your make, model and year and we'll confirm the right cable.

Use a Scan Tool That Supports Motorcycles

An adapter only changes the plug shape. Your scanner still has to speak the bike's diagnostic language, and many car-only OBD2 code readers can't communicate with motorcycle ECUs. Browse our motorcycle scan tools for scanners that do.
