How to Activate the EV Diagnostic Kit

Getting started takes just a few minutes. Follow these steps after receiving your kit:

Step 1 — Update Your X431 App

Before anything else, update your X431 tablet's main diagnostic app to the latest version. The "New Energy Diagnose" module only appears once the app meets the minimum required version (V7.03.025 for PAD V / V7.00.021 for PAD VII or above).

Step 2 — Open New Energy Diagnose

From the Job Menu on your X431 tablet, tap New Energy Diagnose to enter the EV diagnostic module.

Step 3 — Enter Battery Pack Detection

Tap Battery Pack Detection. The system will check whether your account has an active battery pack diagnostic configuration.

Step 4 — Activate with Your Card

If not yet activated, the tool will navigate to the Mall/Subscription screen. Tap Subscription Renewal Card Pay, then enter the 24-digit activation code from your included EV DIAGKIT card.

Step 5 — Download the Software

Once activation is confirmed, go to Software Update and download and install the battery pack diagnostic software for your required vehicle brands.

Step 6 — Connect & Diagnose

Connect the appropriate adapter cable from the kit to your vehicle, select the battery pack brand on-screen, and begin your diagnosis.
